About Us

CSI has the experience in the past to conduct this type of certifications. (O level a , b level).

This Special Interest group has formed very recently after interacting with corporate as they are feeling difficulty to equate different people of different areas and institutions.

To achieve this goal we are working out online Examinations to certify the proficiency of people in different technologies/ programming languages / data bases etc., The online examinations may be at one level and to complete the certification if necessary we may organize regular tests and other type of assessments also.

As CSI is a professional body consisting of more than 1 lakh members from all walks of life we utilize their services for defining the process and evaluation methods.

After assessment is done the lists will be sent to different corporate who require resources tor boarding them.



Scope of SIG


a. Understanding the latest technology trends and advise other SIGs suitably and refining ACE’s current process and program on a continuous basis.
b. Staying in touch with the industry to understand their ever changing demands.
c. Conduct training programs (both soft skills and technology specific ) and align the student community to the industry.
d. Conduct any training programs from time to time as required by the Industry to their staff.
e. Conduct online Assessments on various skills regularly to the learner’s community.
f. Generate the reports of assessment and grade them to create Certification.
g. Post the information of the certified learners to the industry with a portal for Empowerment.



Objectives


a. To bring visibility of all CSI student branches at the Industry window.
b. Enable the academic community interacts with industry in conducting assessment’s using technology with online examinations on various skills.
c. Generate professional grading of learning leading to certification.
d. Make the graded professionals (Talent pool) available to the Industry with a portal for empowerment.



Planned activities


a. Create a portal to accommodate all objectives proposed.
b. Identify the skills needed by the industry and propagate them to academia.
c. Conduct on line assessments for learners to analyze their skills and give their SWOT analysis for betterment.
d. Create graded performance reports with continues evaluation.
e. Make the performance reports available to industry for utilization.

About CSI

The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first sown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT. The organisation has grown to an enviable size of 100,000 strong members consisting of professionals with varied backgrounds including Software developers, Scientists, Academicians, Project Managers, CIO's , CTO's & IT vendors to just name a few. It has spread its branches all over the country. Currently having more than 500 student branches and rooted firmly at 73 different locations, CSI has plans of opening many more chapters & activity centers in smaller towns and cities of the country. The idea is to spread the knowledge, and provide opportunities to as many interested as possible.

Academic Criteria

Qualifying Courses - BE/B. Tech (CS, IT, all Circuit Engg streams, Mech, Mechatronics & Civil) or MCA.
Should have passed the Qualifying Course in 2015 or 2016 from any AICTE approved institution without any live backlog.
Candidates failed to pass engineering within 4 years of academic calendar – or MCA within 3 yrs of their course duration are not eligible.
Should have scored minimum of 60% in SSC/10th, Non-Engg Graduation (e.g. B. Sc/BCA/BCS, etc., in case done), BE/B. Tech and MCA(where applicable).  
Should have scored minimum of 70% in HSC or equivalent and Diploma (in case done).   
Gap not to be more than 1 yr between any two course.  Loss of an academic year post joining a course for whatsoever reason renders candidate ineligible.


Bond

Selected candidates will have to execute an agreement in the form of an Indemnity Bond on joining giving undertaking to serve company for a min period of two years or pay a sum of INR 1 Lakh should they leave company without completing this mandatory service period.

Designation & CTC

Selected candidates will be joining as Entry Level Trainee Programmer at any of the TechM Offshore locations at a CTC of INR 2.6LPA during six months ' probation and INR 3.25LPA post successful completion of probation.
Willingness to work anywhere where the company or its clients are operating from.
They can be assigned to any of the following projects: -

  • Testing
  • Maintenance, Support
